The beginning of the Howard Home

Welcome to the Howard Home Blog! My husband and I have been remodeling our country home for over a year now and my husband has done so much to make this house a home for us! He is very talented as you will soon see. Many people have been asking about our house so, I decided to create a blog that everyone has access to so that you can personally see the changes that have taken place. I should have started this a long time ago but I didn't think of it then. However, I have been keeping a "diary" of the changes through frequent pictures. SO, I am very happy and proud to share those with you. I will add all of the things that have changed in the last year and then, from this point on, I will continue to update everyone on the events of remodeling. For anyone considering buying and completely remodling yourself... you should definately check out this blog... it could make or break your idea :-) My husband has done 90% of the work on this house completely by himself or with his dad. There have been very few parts that we have paid someone to work on. Although, we did hire a crew to work on the roof with him and there is someone hired that is working on installing central heating and air right now... thats right... there was no central unit :-) Many things in this house, if not all things, were or still are outdated as you will see but give us another year or so and there should be very few oudated items left. Well... take a look for yourself... Below are pictures of the outside of the house as we bought it in August of 2006, 3 months after our wedding. You will see the inside pictures as you continue to read through the blog because each blog will have a before and after shot of each room. Enjoy!
